Founded on February 19, 2021, our Cooperative Society was born out of a shared desire to create a people-driven platform for sustainable economic empowerment, collective prosperity, and financial inclusion. At a time when many individuals and small businesses were struggling with access to affordable funding, investment opportunities, and structured savings plans, our founding members came together with a bold vision: to build a cooperative movement that would break limitations, unlock potentials, and democratize prosperity for all.

From our earliest days, we set out to bridge the gap between aspiration and actualization by providing members with access to innovative services such as target/thrift savings, micro-pension plans, emergency loans, cooperative shares, insurance, real estate, agriculture, investment platforms, and international business networks. Each initiative has been carefully designed to help our members thrive, no matter their economic background.

On December 15, 2025, after successfully meeting and surpassing all regulatory criteria and operational standards across Nigeria under the Nigerian Cooperative Societies framework, Maistrade officially transitioned into a fully accredited Federation. This milestone marks our evolution from a primary cooperative into an apex secondary structure, uniting diverse primary societies, enterprise groups, and members into a unified economic engine.

Today, as Maistrade Multipurpose Cooperative Federation Limited, we proudly unite and serve an expanding national ecosystem of primary cooperative societies, professionals, families, and businesses across Nigeria and beyond. As we look to the future, the Federation stands as a national beacon of hope, innovation, and resilience—transforming lives, strengthening affiliated cooperative units, powering enterprises, and enabling shared prosperity, one community at a time.
